File names when recording in 4-channel
In 4-channel recording, a set of two files is created—one for the
external mics connected to channels 1 and 2 and one for the
external device or stereo mic connected to channels 3/4.

Recording automatically (AUTO REC)
This function allows the unit to respond to input sound levels and
start and pause recording, as well as set marks and create new files,
for example.
1. Press the MENU button to open the
MENU
screen.
2. Turn the DATA dial to select
AUTO REC
, and press the DATA dial
or / button to open the
AUTO REC
screen.
3. Turn the DATA dial to select
MODE
and press the DATA dial or
/ button.
4. Turn the DATA dial to set the automatic recording mode.
OFF (default value): Off
MARK: Sets marks automatically during recording
PAUSE: Automatically pauses during recording
TRK INC: Automatically creates new files during recording
5. Press the DATA dial or . button to select the other item.
6. Turn the DATA dial to select
START LEVEL

7. Turn the DATA dial to set the start level, which is the level that
the unit recognizes as an input signal.
