Using a Memory Card

When playing a music file of a piano piece that has the left
hand and the right hand parts recorded in separate MIDI
channels, you can turn off playback of one of the parts and
play it on the keyboard along with playback of the other part.
1.
Enter the card mode and select the MIDI file you
want to play.
2.
Press the L-17 (PART SELECT) button.
This displays a “Part Select” screen like the one shown
below, with the 0 next to “Part L”.

Use the R-17 (t, y) buttons to move the 0
between “Part L” (left-hand part) and “Part R”
(right-hand part), and the dial or R-14 (–, +)
buttons to turn the currently selected part on or
off.
4.
Use the R-17 (y) button to move the 0 to
“SelectCh” and then press the R-16 (ENTER)
button.
This causes the screen shown below to appear.
5.
Use the R-17 (t, y) buttons to move the 0
between “Part L” (left-hand part) and “Part R”
(right-hand part), and the dial or R-14 (–, +)
buttons to specify the MIDI channel for
currently selected part.
6.
Press the L-17 (PART SELECT) button to exit
the part on/off screen.
7.
To start playback, press the L-16 (PLAY/STOP)
button.
This starts playback of the part you turned on in step 3.
8.
To stop playback, press the L-16 (PLAY/STOP)
button.
The part on/off setting reverts to the initial default (both
parts on) whenever you select a different music file.
